As a business automation consultant, I will unlock organizational efficiencies and streamline the way you do business. First, I will analyze your workflows and systems, then I will create and implement a customized plan to increase efficiency, minimize errors, and create a better experience for you, your team, customers, and stakeholders.

Step I: Process Mapping

I will start by analyzing existing workflows and identifying bottlenecks. This may include your financial management system, payroll system, databases, and customer experience related systems. 

How are bills approved? How quickly is financial information available to decision makers? (1 month ago, 2 weeks ago, yesterday)? How does an employee clock in and out? How do you track donors? How is membership information stored? Do you have a point-of-sale system? How are tickets sold? How are volunteers tracked?

At the end of this process, I will deliver a detailed data driven baseline analysis of your organization, including stakeholder interviews and an analysis of your current systems. 

Step II: Plan

Based on the findings from Step I, I will come up with a plan to reduce labor, minimize errors, and enhance overall productivity. Here are some examples of my work:

§  I worked with numerous organizations to upgrade their financial systems to make them far more automated and transparent. Including automating daily bookkeeping tasks, one-click report generation, and integrated bill approval and bill payment systems. In one such upgrade the organization gained a 50% reduction in labor.

§  I moved entire organizations to modern, streamlined payroll systems. Systems such as ADP allow employees to clock in and out using an app on their phone. Onboarding “paperwork” can all be completed via the app, and employees can see in real time their available sick time or PTO and can request the use of those hours directly through the app.

§  I helped organizations use existing databases and systems to their full potential. For example, one robust database (BlackBaud, Daxco, SalesForce, DonorPerfect, etc.) has the potential to house many, if not all, of the organization’s donor, membership, customer, and volunteer management needs. Once setup properly, a system this powerful can automate many organizational functions, reduce staff time, increase sales, and reduce cost.

Step III: Implement

During the final phase of our work together, I will set up and implement agreed upon systems from Step II. Once fully implemented, I will train relevant staff members in the new system and create detailed how-to guides for staff to refer to.
